About Amy

Amy is passionate about supporting mental health professionals through clinical supervision, case consultation, and training. She is committed to helping helpers grow in confidence, competence, and sustainability, empowering them to reach their full potential both personally and professionally.

Since beginning her work in outpatient therapy in 2012, Amy has developed extensive experience serving individuals across the lifespan. She became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2016 and a Certified Sexual Offender Treatment Provider in 2018. Amy is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), has completed basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is an Auricular Detoxification Specialist (ADS). She values a holistic approach to healing that recognizes the connection between mind, body, and environment, and incorporates somatic and body-based interventions alongside evidence-based practices to support growth, healing, and resilience.

For more than fifteen years, Amy has specialized in developmentally appropriate psychosexual evaluations for children and adolescents, as well as outpatient treatment for individuals with problematic and/or harmful sexual behaviors, including children, adolescents, and adults. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach and reflects a deep commitment to supporting victim-survivors of sexual abuse while actively engaging in community collaboration, advocacy, and prevention efforts.

Through her work with both those who have experienced harm and those who have caused harm, Amy has gained a unique perspective on the importance of self-awareness, professional support, and intentional self-care in sustaining a meaningful career in the helping professions. She has witnessed firsthand the gaps that can exist in graduate education, clinical supervision, and organizational systems, which often contribute to secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout among clinicians.

As a supervisor, consultant, and trainer, Amy emphasizes the critical role of clinician and team wellness. She helps professionals and organizations identify, prevent, and respond to occupational stress while cultivating resilient, healthy workplace cultures that support both provider well-being and quality client care. Drawing from both evidence-based practice and holistic perspectives, she encourages clinicians to consider their own wellness as an essential component of ethical and effective care.

Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoys exploring nature, attending local music and artisan festivals with her husband and four children, and finding creative outlets through reading and writing. She loves creating cozy spaces at home, is rarely found without a cup of hot coffee in hand—regardless of the season—and never misses an opportunity to share photos of her charismatic long-haired Chihuahua, Stella. These simple joys reflect the same values she encourages in others: connection, balance, creativity, and intentional self-care.
